After a couple of weeks waiting for the decision of my core CCA… now I had got the decision. My CCA was…
St. John’s Ambulance Brigade (SJAB)
SJAB was my second choice. My first choice was Micromouse Club, but I am not qualified for it. I really didn’t know why because the selection was just by interviewing us.
Anyway, it was okay for me because after all SJAB was still my choice.
SJAB, St. John’s Ambulance Brigade, was actually a name of an organization dedicated to the teaching and practice of medical first aid and the provision of ambulance services (so it explained why the name was not St. Joseph’s). It was found in England and so the Main Headquarter was in England.
Well, why do I choose this CCA?
It’s just as simple as: I’m interested in this CCA. Not because of the tempting advertisement, not because of the tempting CCA point or CIP hour (of course I do aim for those two, but they are not my main reason!) I think learning first aid will be a totally new thing for me, and earning first aid skill may be useful in the future. No, I think it WILL be useful.
So, I’m going for SJAB. Wish me luck for the next 2 years!
